Big ol' red flower -- stands out and really makes a statement.
Big yellow puffball. Also liked the softness (simlar to the pink rose nearby), edited slightly to accentuate the water droplets a tiny bit.
Pink rose, was going to edit it but then decided I liked it how it was. Probably cause of the the softness.
Sunset on a building.
I went with my mom to go look for a sunflower field. When we got there, there were no sunflowers -- just a nice field.
Set of books I bought -- two for birdwatching, one that I read for a class and really related to.
Really pretty pink flowers -- apparently they're hydrangeas. Really love how the colors pop, especially after a bit of editing.
Hairy woodpecker. These guys look a lot like downy woodpeckers, but there's a few ways you can tell them apart. First, hairy woodpeckers have longer beaks! Around the size of their heads, I think? They also don't have black spots on their tail feathers at the edges.
Green Heron -- adult one, saw a juvenile one the other day
Pretty flower!
Sunset at Dulles airport
Squirrel eating out of my birdfeeder
Necklace I use as a bracelet that I bought from Harper's Ferry
A blue cornflower (maybe)
Turtle on a log.
I think it's some kind of gayfeather that's dying out? Not sure, but I thought it looked interesting.
Blue balloon flowers, I really like how I framed this image (although I may have messed up the editing).
Apparently these are called Culver's root. I liked how it stood against the background, like three strong pillars in a field.
First dinner I cooked during my first week of work!
Squirrel munching on some takis someone dropped.
Great blue heron -- super cool. Got to watch it fish.
Overlook along the George Washington Memorial Parkway -- drove there for a sunset a while back.
Maybe possibly my dream home? Love how "rustic" it is, if that's the right term, and how it's kind of tucked away. It's on sale, but probably uber-expensive.
